3/4 inch x 100 foot 24 gauge Sioux Chief galvanized steel hanger strap shall be used where necessary to support CTS, IPS, or DWV pipe. Metal straps shall be made with galvanized steel and installed in accordance with national codes pertaining to hanger spacing and slope requirements. Metal hanger strap shall feature 1/4 inch or 3/16 inch pre-drilled pilot holes in alternating pattern and strap shall be 3/4 inch wide. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling metal hanger straps to avoid injury. Cut the hanger strap to the desired length. Using approved hardware (not provided), secure the hanger strap with a nail or screw to the joist or stud member. The Hanger strap may be looped or double-wrapped around piping and may be installed on the same side or opposite sides of floor joists or stud members.
